Screenings

Screenings are available to determine the need for further evaluation. If you are unsure whether or not your child is having difficulty, Dina can provide you with a professional opinion and guidance as to the best way to, if necessary, move forward.

Consultations

Consultations gather relevant information regarding the client, including any previous evaluations or assessments. A consultation is usually warranted when the client has already been diagnosed and requires treatment. The consultation serves to determine the best approach to addressing the communication needs of the client, and to create appropriate treatment goals. In addition, a consultation is used to guide families toward the best solution in dealing with their child’s needs, therapeutically, interactively and financially.

Evaluations

Comprehensive evaluations are conducted when a client has not yet been diagnosed or treated. Evaluations use a combination of standardized testing, parent interviews, and informal observation. Assessment results will include recommendations as to whether therapy is warranted, goals, and the suggested frequency and length of treatment sessions.

Therapy

To ensure the highest quality of therapy, services are provided on an individual basis. Dina is devoted to helping clients achieve their highest level of communication. Frequency and duration of sessions are determined on a case by case basis. Dina draws from a variety of therapeutic techniques to best address each child’s specific needs.
